In collaboration with DKT-Ethiopia, this pilot project started in April 2007 with nine youth clubs. It is an initiative to facilitate the distribution of condoms and to create income-generating opportunities for the clubs. To date, the clubs have distributed 2,520,000 condoms. In recognition of this success, DSW Ethiopia has now selected another ten clubs to be incorporated in the condom social marketing scheme, which is a unique approach with youth clubs in Africa.
